I, nomad
I'm in Pennsylvania. It's cold. I am tired. I feel out of place, like a snowman in Florida. Or a circus clown at a wake. Sometimes I think . . . I want to go home, but I'm not sure where that is. Some places feel more at home than others. I'm tired, in so many ways. Goodnight, world.

I think the expression is: 'Goodnight, cruel world.' Ha, your two similes are dead-on, love 'em. I too have mixed feelings and guarded emotions in PA. Kinda like some cars we've had; when they run they're a dream, but otherwise, a nightmare. The good news: you can't help but see a new batch of write-about-able scenes. With those eyes I always mention:)
